Quick Start

Get your Aitok account ready and start calling world-class AI models in your tools in under 3 minutes.

Step 1: Sign Up & Log In

  1. Visit the Aitok website and click Sign Up in the top-right corner.
  2. Complete verification using your phone number or email address.
  3. Once logged in, you will be redirected to the Hub Console.

Pro Tip: If you clicked "Sign in with Aitok" from a third-party Agent, you can complete login and authorize the application directly in that flow.

Step 2: Add Balance or Redeem Compute

Before calling AI models, make sure your account has an active balance:

  1. Navigate to Billing & Payments in the sidebar (or visit /hub/recharge).
  2. Choose your preferred amount and complete the online payment.
  3. If you have a gift card or promotion code, click Redeem Code to instantly credit your account with trial compute credits.

Step 3: Connect to Your Tools

Aitok supports multiple integration methods. Choose the one that best fits your workflow:

Option A: Direct AI Key (Best for General AI Clients)

  1. Go to AI Keys (/hub/ai-key) in the console and click Create Key.
  2. Give the key a descriptive name (e.g., "My Chatbox") and set an optional spending cap.
  3. Copy the generated key (starts with sk-...).
  4. In your client (such as Chatbox, NextChat, Open-WebUI, or Cherry Studio):
    • Set API Host / Base URL to the Aitok endpoint: https://api.aitok.me/v1 (or as shown in your console).
    • Enter your copied key into API Key.
    • Pick your desired model (e.g., gpt-4o, claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022, or llama-3.3-70b) and start chatting!

Option B: Use Aitok Hub Local Proxy (Recommended for Dev Assistants & Coding Agents)

If you frequently use coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf:

  1. Download and install the Aitok Hub desktop client or CLI.
  2. Sign in to your Aitok account and click to start the local proxy service (runs on http://127.0.0.1:8309 by default).
  3. The client handles low-latency routing and offline quota caching seamlessly.

Option C: One-Click Third-Party Agent Authorization

  1. On any partner AI Agent platform, click "Connect with Aitok".
  2. You will be prompted with an authorization window outlining requested permissions and limits.
  3. Click "Authorize" to return to the app. The Agent will now run using your Aitok compute automatically—no need to manually copy or paste keys.
