App Authorization

App Authorization is a secure, keyless connectivity mechanism provided by Aitok.

When you use third-party AI Agents or tools supporting the Aitok ecosystem, you don't need to manually copy and paste long API keys. A quick authorization popup lets the app access your compute safely and transparently.

How Authorization Works

When you click "Connect with Aitok" in a partner AI Agent or web app:

  1. Authorization Popup: You will be guided to the official Aitok authorization window.
  2. Explicit Permissions: The screen outlines the exact scope requested by the Agent, such as:
    • Accessing basic public profile information (nickname, avatar);
    • Calling selected AI compute models on your behalf;
    • Spending or quota thresholds.
  3. Confirm: Review the permissions and click "Authorize".
  4. Instant Return: You are immediately returned to the application, which is now authenticated and ready to run using your Aitok compute.

Viewing Connected Apps

You can audit all connected third-party tools anytime in your Aitok Console:

  1. Log in to the Aitok Console.
  2. Click App Authorization (/hub/grant) in the sidebar navigation.
  3. The list reveals all active connections, including:
    • App Name & Icon
    • Initial Connection Date
    • Granted Permission Scope

One-Click Revocation

Aitok gives you absolute control over your account access and spend:

  • Revoke Anytime: If you stop using a particular Agent or suspect abnormal behavior, locate the app in the /hub/grant list and click "Revoke".
  • Immediate Invalidation: The moment you revoke access, the application's credentials are instantly neutralized. It can no longer trigger model requests or incur any balance deductions.
  • Safe Reconnect: If you ever want to use the application again, simply trigger the connection flow from that app as usual.
