Aitok Hub

Aitok Hub is a lightweight local AI gateway client tailored for desktop users, developers, and autonomous agents.

It hosts a secure, high-performance local proxy on your machine (defaulting to http://127.0.0.1:8309), serving as a fast, reliable bridge between your local tools and Aitok's cloud compute models.

Client Downloads & Supported Platforms

Download packages for your operating system from the official Aitok download portal:

  • macOS Client:
    • Native DMG installers available for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel architectures.
  • Windows Client:
    • One-click installer for Windows 10/11 (64-bit).
  • Linux Desktop (AppImage):
    • Portable packages: Linux AppImage (x86_64) and Linux AppImage (ARM64). Simply mark executable and run directly without library conflicts.
  • Linux Terminal (CLI Binary):
    • Standalone single binaries: Linux CLI Binary (x86_64) and Linux CLI Binary (ARM64).
    • Ideal for headless development servers, remote cloud VPS instances, and Docker containers.

Getting Started

1. Desktop GUI

  1. Launch the Aitok Hub desktop app.
  2. Click Log In to launch the browser for safe, one-click authorization.
  3. Once authenticated, the app displays your connected account status and active compute quota.
  4. Click Start Proxy. The local gateway is now listening at http://127.0.0.1:8309.

2. Command Line Interface (CLI)

Make the binary executable and manage the service with intuitive subcommands:

chmod +x aitok-hub-cli

# 1. Sign in to your Aitok account (prompts interactively for credentials)
./aitok-hub-cli sign-in

# 2. Sync models and compute metadata from the platform
./aitok-hub-cli load

# 3. Run the gateway:
# Option A: Run in the foreground (great for development & quick debugging)
./aitok-hub-cli serve

# Option B: Run as a background daemon system service (recommended for persistent usage)
./aitok-hub-cli install    # Register system service (macOS LaunchAgent / Linux systemd / Windows)
./aitok-hub-cli start      # Start the background service
./aitok-hub-cli status     # Check health, uptime, and request count
./aitok-hub-cli stop       # Stop the background service
./aitok-hub-cli restart    # Restart the background service

Connecting Popular Tools (Integrated One-Click Setup)

To eliminate the need for manually digging through settings menus, copying long URLs, or editing configuration files, Aitok Hub comes with integrated one-click setup scripts for popular AI tools and Agents (including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Chatbox, and Continue):

  1. Select Your Tool: In the Aitok Hub desktop app, navigate to AI Keys / Agents and locate the tool you wish to connect.
  2. Open Quick Setup: Click the Configure (or Quick Setup) button next to the tool.
  3. Run the Integrated Setup Script:
    • The setup modal automatically prepares the tailored configuration script for your current operating system (macOS / Linux / Windows).
    • All connection endpoints (http://127.0.0.1:8309), filter rules, and authentication parameters are pre-filled automatically.
    • Simply click Execute directly in the modal (or copy the generated script to run in your terminal) to apply the settings instantly.
  4. Start Creating: Once the script finishes, open your AI tool and immediately enjoy smooth, high-speed model interactions without ever touching raw API keys.
